Wildcat WC22 26mm Gas Blueprinted Slide Carburetor Kit
The new Wildcat WC22 is more than a VM-style carburetor. It's a redesign that has improved the performance and tunability of the round slide-style carburetors.
This carburetor is designed for open 0.870" or larger headers with open ends or RLV mufflers. Do not run this carburetor on engines with Stock mufflers or screw-on mufflers. Due to the position of the fuel inlet of the carburetor in relation to the stock fuel tank, the fuel will not gravity feed properly. In other words it will not work with a stock fuel tank unless a fuel pump is added. You will have to elevate the stock fuel tank and use a remote tank or a fuel pump.
Blueprinted Chinese VM22 was an instant hit for performance builds and was unmatched in power compared to other VM carburetors and many other similar carburetors. The carburetor was not entirely flawless. The VM22 would idle very rich, acceptable for racing but not ideal for those with mild builds or cruisers. Our customers have given us great feedback, and we wanted to improve our product and meet their expectations. EC cast a new slide carburetor with the Wildcat Engine Brand to resolve these issues.
The better casting and modification improved the carburetor's ability to idle and perform up to 9000rpms, rivaling the performance of many flat slide carburetors. The WC22 is the first VM22-style carburetor intentionally developed for the displacement and modifications of our small block industrial-based engines. Most VM22 carburetors are designed for lesser displacement mini moto or smaller dirt bikes.
The stock Chinese VM carburetors have a choke lever that would interfere with the engine. EC would bend this on the blueprinted models, but it would still look like a tangled mess. EC simplified the design of the choke. The lever was removed, and a knob was in its place. The new knob not only made the fitment better but makes the carburetor more appealing.
Our kit also comes with our purpose-built billet intake with a pulse fitting for a vacuum fuel pump. Most other kits use a generic intake that does not match the precision of our intake. Our intake moves the carburetor closer to the head, allowing better fitment for mini-bike vehicles that require a tight fit.
The carburetor is tuned at elevation less than 1800 feet above sea level. Anything more will require additional tuning. Call before ordering
Do not use a stock exhaust or weenie pipe header for the best performance.
